Lent

Ash Wednesday

Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent. We will have three services: 7:00 AM, 11:00 AM, & 7:00 PM.

Prepare Your Heart

For centuries, Christians around the world have observed Lent—the forty days (not counting Sundays) leading up to Easter. Beginning on Ash Wednesday, this sacred season invites us to walk alongside Jesus toward the cross and resurrection. Lent is a time of preparation and renewal. Just as Jesus spent forty days in the wilderness, we can step back from our busyness and draw closer to God through prayer, fasting, and honest self-reflection. This devotion offers a simple way to observe Lent: set aside time each day for scripture reading and prayer. Ten or fifteen minutes can become your sacred space. For each day there is a scripture passage, a brief reflection, and a prayer. Read it morning or evening, alone or with others. The book offers a morning and evening liturgy you may choose to use. What matters is not perfection, but presence—showing up day by day to pray with Jesus. Be gentle with yourself. If you miss a day, simply go to the following day. The goal is not to complete a task, but to cultivate deeper awareness of God's presence. Such communion prepares your heart to fully celebrate Easter's joy. May this Lenten season be a time of grace, growth, and renewal. The morning and evening prayers are also included in the devotional book below.
