THE WORSHIP FLOWERS are given by Dick & Judy Mearig to the glory of God and in honor of their 50th anniversary.

AUGSBURG ADULT BIBLE STUDY CLASS: This class is open to all adults and meets in the church lounge at 9:30 a.m. on Sundays.  The study is entitled, “Assuring Hope.”

Jesus is shown to be the beloved Son of God, radiant in all God’s glory.  Yet Jesus and the disciples must continue on to Jerusalem and the suffering that awaits them there before the victory of resurrection will be complete.
 
SAVE THE DATE…FEBRUARY 26:  St. Paul’s Community Bingo will be held on Saturday, February 26th at 12:00 p.m. in the Social Hall.  Proceeds will benefit both St. Paul Community Nursery School and St. Paul’s Youth Mission Trip.  Please join us for food, games, prizes, and fun!  Tickets will be on sale beginning in February.  Snow date will be March 5th.  If you are interested in donating food items for the Bingo lunch to help the youth with their Mission Trip fund, please check the Youth Activities kiosk for details and a sign up list.  Thank you!

PLEASE SIGN UP to be an assisting minister or communion assistant or coffee host. We  will need 3 communion assistants, so please give prayerful consideration to signing up in advance, so Pastor Gable knows who will be assisting him with communion.  Thank you.

THE CHRISTIAN SERVICE BOX collection for February is for the Lian Family (our Burmese Family) for necessary expenses.
 
OUR PRAYER LIST is available on the kiosk.   Please take a copy and pray for those in need.  If you wish for a name to be added or removed, please notify the church office.  Thank you.  

TRIP TO SERVICE CENTER:  Mellinger’s Lutheran Church is planning a work trip to the service center in New Windsor, MD on March 19th.  If you are interested in going, contact Dick Raffauf at 445-0857.
PRAYER SHAWL COLLECTION:  St. Paul Women of the ELCA plan to collect, label and send shawls donated between now and the end of May, to the Eighth Triennial Gathering of the Women of the ELCA in Spokane, Washington.  The shawls will be given to ministries in the host synod—the Eastern Washington-Idaho Synod.  Forms that give specific details are available in the narthex at the Women of the ELCA kiosk or you can call Nancy Weiss at 626-0994.  (This collection is in addition to, not in place of, the St. Paul Prayer Shawl Ministry.)
 
FEBRUARY CIRCLE MEETINGS: A special offering will be collected for Building Blocks of Hope Women and Children in Poverty Program.
 
DUE TO RENOVATIONS the St Paul Circle at Luther Acres meeting spot will move from the Music Room to the Hershey Activity Room beginning with the February Meeting.
 
THRIVENT FINANCIAL FOR LUTHERANS is excited to announce that the North and South Lancaster Chapters of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans and Lancaster Habitat have been awarded a 2011 home through the Thrivent Builds program.  The home will be build in Lancaster.  Everyone interested in learning more about this program or helping support the build is invited to join us on February 19 at 10:00 am for our Kick Off Event to celebrate the award and plan for the construction of the house.  The event will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lancaster.  Contact your local Thrivent Financial Representative,  or the South Lancaster Chapter President, Suzette McCarty at 717-653-2535 for more information .
 
LIGHTS! CAMERA! ACTION! – MOVIE CLUB OSCARS CONTEST – Once again, Movie Club will be sponsoring an Oscar‘s contest.  Look for instructions to participate and ballots in the Narthex.   Ballots will have to be returned by the end of the 10:45 service on February 27th.  First Prize will be dinner and a movie for two, Second Prize will be four movie passes, and Third Prize will be two movie passes.  Break a leg and good luck!
 
THE ST. PAUL WOMEN OF THE ELCA thank the congregation for their support of Mission Awareness speaker Bazia Antoni and his work integrating the displaced Sudanese refugees known as the Lost Boys.  The offering collected was $863.80.
 
THANK YOU to everyone that helped support our “Souper Bowl of Caring” luncheon last Sunday.  We served over 120 people, collected 41 food items for the food bank, and sent $653.00 to the ELCA World Hunger Fund.  Of course, as always, the soups were fantastic!
 
ST. PAUL BREW CREW rescheduled the trip to the Lancaster Brewing Company for Monday, February 21 at 6:30.  Meet at the church at 6:00 p.m. to car pool.  Even ifyou signed up last time, please sign up again so we have an accurate count.
 
LEAVE A LEGACY for Ministry Seminar – Would you like to learn how you can give a gift to the church and receive regular fixed payments for your lifetime and, if you desire, for the lifetime of another person?  On Endowment Sunday, Pastor Gregory Kramer, Regional Gift Planner for the ELCA Foundation, will be here to educate us on this topic and more.  Please join us on Sunday March 6th at 9:30 AM in the social hall.  Light breakfast will be served.
