THE CHRISTIAN SERVICE BOX FOR SEPTEMBER will be to support St. Luke’s Community Lunches in Lititz. Each week St. Luke provides a free lunch to anyone in the community who would like to attend. This outreach takes place in their church where they do not even have a stove or oven. They are trying to raise funds to purchase an oven. Thank you for your support of this wonderful ministry.

BETH MOORE STUDY for women “Children of the Day” will be hosted here on Monday evenings from Sept. 14th through Nov. 9th, 6:30 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. in the choir room. This is a nine week in depth study of the books 1st and 2nd Thessalonians and will be led by Phyllis Frankhouser. The study includes a weekly video presentation, group discussion and workbook study on your own. You need not attend every session to be a part of the group. The cost is $16 per person. To register, call the church office by September 10th.
THE NEXT MEN’S BIBLE STUDY and breakfast will take place at Zion Lutheran, Manheim on Sat. Sept. 12, starting at 7AM. All men are invited to attend this event.
WOMEN OF THE ELCA’S annual Fall Guild Meeting is on Saturday, Sept. 12th from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. in the social hall. All women of the church are invited. The speaker is Tricia Nabors, director of “New Beginnings”. Following the program the annual Service of Remembrance will be held honoring the women of St. Paul who entered the Church Triumphant this past year. A potluck lunch will cap off the morning. Please bring a favorite luncheon dish to share. Beverages and place settings will be provided. Food donations for the Warwick Community Chest will be collected. THE LADIES LUNCH BUNCH will gather on September 16, at 11:30 at Javáteas located at 1 Dutchland Avenue, Ephrata. From Salads, Sandwiches and Italian ice, along with specialty coffees and teas, there is definitely something you will just love! MEAL SERVING: Our congregation has partnered with Zion Leola to serve community dinners in Lancaster. Volunteers (ages 15+) are needed to serve at REDEEMER Lutheran on Thurs. Sept. 17th and Grace Lutheran on Wed., Sept. 30th for: Set Up (1 person) 3:00-5:00pm AND Serving/Clean-up (5 people) 5:15-7:00pm If you are interested in volunteering, please sign up on the kiosk or see Barb Paynter.

QUILT & KIT SHIPPING FUND: During September, we will be collecting to help pay for shipping costs of quilts & kits to be distributed to people in need by Lutheran World Relief. PERSONAL CARE KITS will be collected during September, blessed in church on October 4th, then packed and sent to Lutheran World Relief. A list of items to include in a kit is posted on the Women of the ELCA bulletin board in the narthex. Please take a list, follow the steps to make a kit and put the finished kit in the container in the narthex marked "Personal Care Kits." Thank you for your generous help with this project.
COMMUNITY CHEST FOOD DRIVE: Following today's service, bags will be given out along with a list of "needed items". Please fill your bag and bring it to the worship service next Sunday, September 13. These items will be collected during the hymn of the day to be blessed and given to the LWCC.
LWR SCHOOL KITS - During our VBS program this summer, we collected supplies to make 36 school kits for children around the world. Join us on Sunday, September 13 as part of God's Work, Our Hands Sunday following the 10:45 service to assemble the kits in the social hall. Children & adults are welcome!

THE LSS WOMEN'S Organization Annual Camp Hebron Fall Retreat will be held Oct.30-Nov. 1. The Rev. Carol Bowman will be presenting the retreat theme: "Climbing the Sycamore Tree-A study in Choice and Simplicity”. Attendees can join for the entire weekend or just for a day. Camp Hebron, located north of Harrisburg, offers a beautiful respite during autumn. Forms for registration are on the WELCA kiosk, and is required to be postmarked by September 12th.
