THE ARCHIVES SHOWCASE THEME centers on Advent Worship. Look for an old set of stoles, worn by pastors during Advent, as well as bulletins representing each of the four Sundays of Advent. Featured are Advent devotionals — both those made by members and those given to members — and a familiar Advent hymn from the 1929 Children's Hymnal & Service book.

FAMILY ADVENT FESTIVAL will be NEXT SUNDAY at 4:00pm in the Social Hall. There will be Advent crafts & activities for your family to make as we prepare our hearts and minds for the Advent season. Please bring a potluck dinner item to share following the festival at 5:30. Sign up on the kiosk in the narthex if you plan to attend.
THE NEXT MEN’S BIBLE STUDY and Breakfast will take place on Dec. 6 at St. Paul, Penryn starting at 7AM, all men are invited to attend for fellowship, a stimulating Bible study and a great breakfast. Any questions please contact Jim Millhouse.
FAMILY ADVENT FESTIVAL HELP NEEDED: We are looking for help in running our Family Advent Festival craft stations on Sunday, Nov. 30 at 4pm. All the projects & materials will be prepared for you - your responsibility is to be at the station to help the families. If you would like to help, please see the sign-up on the kiosk or contact Barb Paynter. And, please join us for the potluck dinner following the festival at 5:30.
REMINDER FOR BLANKET MAKERS: The Nov./Dec. session will be on Wednesday, December 3 from 9 a.m. to noon in the social hall.
SENIOR SHEPHERDS will not be meeting the last Thursday in November since that is Thanksgiving.
BREW CREW will be traveling to Snitz Creek Brewery in Lebanon for dinner on Thursday December 11th at 6:30. We will meet at the church to car pool leaving promptly at 6:00. For those going straight to the brewery the address is 7 North 9th Street in Lebanon.
ST. PAUL CHRISTMAS DINNER: Are you or your spouse 65+ years of age? If you are, you are invited to the St. Paul Christmas Dinner on Saturday, December 6 at Noon. Be prepared to enjoy a delicious home cooked dinner and some light entertainment all prepared by members of St. Paul and sponsored by St. Paul WELCA. Come join us to celebrate the coming of Christ at this long standing Christmas tradition. Look for the sign-up sheet in the Small Groups book in the narthex, or call Mary Ann Seitz at 626 9368. SUPPER CLUB SIGN UP FOR 2015: Supper Club is a group couples/singles who meet for dinners and socializing throughout the year. Groups of 4 couples/singles will be formed from those who sign up. Your group will then meet 4 times during the year, once at each of the couples/singles home for dinner and socializing. Each group can decide how to organize the dinners for their group. This is a GREAT way to socialize and get to know others here at St. Paul! Look for the signup sheet in the Sign-Up book in the narthex. Please sign up by Sunday December 14th, and indicate if you need childcare. We can find some of the youth wanting to babysit to help you, so you can attend a supper club dinner. After December 14th, we will randomly select the groups, and inform each couple/single of your group so you can get started. SUPPLIES NEEDED: We are in need of toilet paper rolls & cut greens for our Advent Festival. Please place toilet paper rolls in the box in the Narthex. If you are able to donate cut greens, please contact Barb Paynter. They may be delivered to the social hall stage on Sat., Nov. 29 or Sun., Nov. 30 by 3pm. Thank you!
COOKED TURKEY DONATION is needed for the Lititz/Warwick Community Thanksgiving Meal. The turkey along with one quart of gravy are to be delivered to Hosanna between 7:30-10:30am on Thanksgiving Day. Volunteers are also needed for food prep on Wed., Nov. 26 as well as greeters, servers, and meal deliverers on Thanksgiving Day. Please contact Barb Paynter if you are able to donate a turkey or would like to volunteer.
LITITZ/WARWICK COMMUNITY THANKSGIVING MEAL: Everyone is invited to join our neighbors...
Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 27, 2014 from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. at Hosanna! A Fellowship of Christians, 29 Green Acre Road, Lititz. The meu includes: Turkey, potato filling, sweet potatoes, cranberry relish, baked potatoes, corn, rolls, butter, assorted desserts, and beverages. The cost is FREE to ALL! Reservations not necessary.
ST. PAUL'S ARCHIVES COMMITTEE is a small, but dedicated group interested in preserving our congregation's rich history. Work meetings take an hour a month to sort, catalog and display our church treasures. If this sounds like a way you might choose to give of your service, please join us for our monthly work session on Monday, November 24 at 1PM in the Archives Room. No experience or special skills required!
THANK YOU!! On behalf of myself and the vendors at the annual St Paul craft fair I would like to send out a thank you to all the members that came to shop that day. I would like to expressly thank Susan Faulkner for collecting the forms and forwarding to me, Marc Buckwalter for setting up and tearing down the tables, Dick Mearig for the great publicity, Barb Paynter for decorating, the Nikoloff’s for organizing the youth group food, church members who allowed signs to be placed in their yards, and Joyce Groff for being my sounding board.
