Music and Memory
Help us raise $8,000 to provide meaningful music therapy for our Memory Support Residents.
*Mini-Grand Piano *CD Player/Recorder/Burner
*Rhythm and Voice Module *Transportation Dolly
Music is the universal language. For memory support residents, music can make a big difference in their lives. Music, songs and hymns evoke memories of families, special events and happy moments. Start to play music and words to the music will bubble up from residents, smiles will break out and toes will start tapping! One can look into a resident’s eyes when music is playing and see they have travelled back in time to when someone was holding them in their arms, dancing to a favorite tune. Music is a vital tool for creating a happy and nurturing environment for memory support residents.
