BARNSTORMER’S GAME TICKETS are available for June 6th at 6:30 p.m. The North Lancaster Chapter of Thrivent for Lutherans have tickets available for this special D-Day Tribute to the late Major Dick Winters and members of Easy Company, who’s heroism and leadership were captured in the HBO mini-series “Band of Brothers”. Thrivent seats are in sections 6 and 7 (down the right field line). Cost for each ticket is $5 with $1 going to Habitat for Humanity Lutheran House Project. Checks payable to “Thrivent North Lancaster Chapter” should be sent to the Rev. Jim Roth at Zion Lutheran Church, 2 Hazel St., Manheim, PA 17545. People wanting to sit together should send checks together.
OUR ANNUAL “BRUNCH IN THE BREEZE” will take place on Sunday, June 12, immediately following our outdoor worship service. Everyone is welcome! If you are interested in contributing to the brunch, please sign up on the colorful sheets on the narthex kiosk.
THERE’S STILL TIME!! PRAYER SHAWL COLLECTION: St. Paul Women of the ELCA plan to collect, label and send shawls donated between now and the end of May, to the Eighth Triennial Gathering of the Women of the ELCA in Spokane, Washington. The shawls will be given to ministries in the host synod—the Eastern Washington-Idaho Synod. Forms that give specific details are available in the narthex at the Women of the ELCA kiosk or you can call Nancy Weiss at 626-0994. (This collection is in addition to, not in place of, the St. Paul Prayer Shawl Ministry.)
