DRIVERS ARE NEEDED to bring church members to church on Sundays. Please see the sign up sheet in the narthex.
SUNDAY SCHOOL FOR LITTLE ONES is the feature of the new display in the Archives showcase in the narthex. You'll find both Cradle Roll and Beginner's Department Promotion certificates from the late 1920's. There are a Children's Hymnal & Service Book, used during the early 1900's, and wooden offering plates that collected many pennies in their day. Look carefully at the 1913 photograph of the Sunday School classes posed in front of the Broad & Orange Street church for relatives you know. And imagine, if you will, the kind of local economy that was responsible for collecting a total Sunday School offering of $14.29 on Sunday, July 23, 1933. The Sunday School Records Book shows an attendance of 387 that day!
LIBERIAN STUDENT TUITION SPONSORSHIP Program. Our congregation has enabled dozens of students to better their lives through education. I have received updated information for the students our members are currently sponsoring and a few new profiles of students available to sponsor. I have several copies of a new DVD made by the staff of God's Precious Children, with a heartwarming story of a teenager who was able to travel to Liberia with the mission team and met the student she sponsors! Stop by the table in the narthex to pick up your student's profile or to learn more about the Program. Questions? Contact Cindy Wingenroth at 627-2111 or by email at email@example.com Thank you!
