SUMMER COMMUNITY LUNCH: This THURSDAY, July 2nd will be our first community lunch in the social hall.  EVERYONE is invited – it is NOT based on need.  It is a time to come together as neighbors and share a meal.  There are still many opportunities for all of our members to help throughout the month…* cooks * servers * clean up helpers * food items donations * If you are interested in helping, please sign up on the kiosk in the Narthex or contact Barb Paynter.

COMMUNITY LUNCH FLYERS need to be distributed around Lititz. If you are willing to take a flyer to hang at a local business (grocery store, laundromat, bank, etc), please take a flyer(s) from the table in the narthex.  The more flyers that are displayed, the more people we can inform of this valuable new ministry.  Thank you for being the hands and feet of Jesus as we reach out and serve our community!

LCO BARNSTORMERS GAME:  August 2nd.  Cost for game and picnic pavilion is $28 per adult, $2 for ages 5-12 and under 5 is free.  The picnic will be served for two hours, all you can eat and will include 3 meats, 3 salads, soda, water and desserts.  The pavilion opens at 12:30 p.m. and the game time is 1:00 p.m.  July 12th is the deadline to sign up.

THE CRAFT GROUP is asking for donations to make items to sell at the Craft Fair:  Pinecones of all sizes, Lace for trimming, ONLY fall or holiday cotton or cotton blend fabric.  You can place your donations in the marked bins in the narthex.  Thank you and God Bless, Joyce Groff.

LCO "AFTERNOON AT KIRCHENWALD" is a family event scheduled for August 23. The day's activities will likely include a family scavenger hunt, a hike around the camp, swimming, and dinner.  Our goal is to make this a relatively low cost family event. We are in need of a Chairman and/or 2 to get the planning done.  If you are interested, please contact June Kupstas at junek@dejazzd.com.

SENIORS POOL PARTY: Join us on Wednesday, July 8 from 1-3pm at the Nikoloff’s house (3 Crest Dr., Lititz) for an afternoon by the pool.  There are shaded areas to sit and chat or wear your bathing suit if you’d like to swim.  Please bring a snack to share.  Paper products and drinks will be provided.  Questions? Contact Barb Paynter.

MEAL SERVING IN LANCASTER: Our congregation has partnered with Zion Leola to serve community dinners in Lancaster.  Volunteers (ages 15+) are needed to serve at Christ Lutheran on Thursday, July 16 and Grace Lutheran on Wednesday, July 29 for:

                         Set Up (1 person) 3:00-5:00pm AND Serving/Clean up (5 people) 5:15-7:00pm

If you are interested in volunteering, sign up on the kiosk or see Joyce Groff or Barb Paynter.

SUMMER MUSIC: At each traditional service this summer, you are invited to be part of a pickup choir!  At 9am in the choir room we will rehearse a simple 1- or 2-part anthem for that day's service. Come, and bring a friend!  A signup sheet is in the narthex for musicians who would like to share their gifts in worship this summer. If you would like to play or a sing a solo or in a small group, choose a date and Valerie will be in touch!

DO YOU PLAY A WIND INSTRUMENT?  For this year's worship service at Lititz Springs Park (August 16), we are forming a wind band to play the hymns from musicians from each of the churches. The more, the merrier! Be in touch with Valerie if you're interested. She will be digging out her saxophone (and possibly subjecting herself to public humiliation!); dust off your instrument and come out and play!
