Interest forms are available in the narthex and should be completed and returned to the church office by January 31st. An online form can be obtained by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. The Committee will be selected by Church Council at its February 9th meeting and begin work shortly thereafter. Prayerfully consider your service in this very important process. Contact Al Rothermel (627-2107) with questions.
TELECARE MINISTRY keeps a caring connection alive among members of our church family through telephone contacts. The team meets the second Monday of every month in the church lounge at 1pm; this month, that's January 12. If you are interested in details about this ministry, call Marsha Campbell 626-8078 or join us in the lounge.
ST. PAUL WOMEN OF THE ELCA will be hosting a Beth Moore Bible Study titled "James: Mercy Triumphs" on Monday evenings beginning Feb. 2nd through March 23rd from 6:30 to 8:15 p.m. in the choir room. All women are invited to attend and it is open to the public as a ministry of St. Paul. "James: Mercy Triumphs" is an eight week in depth study of the book of James. See how one glimpse of the resurrected Savior turned an unbeliever into a disciple. The study includes a weekly video presentation, group discussion, and workbook study on your own. You need not attend every session. The cost is $16 per person to cover cost of the materials. Checks should be made out to St. Paul Women of the ELCA. To register, please contact Barb Paynter, 626-4709, ext.4, by Jan. 26.
MISSION AWARENESS SUNDAY: On January 18, 2015, the Women of the ELCA St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church will sponsor Mission Awareness Sunday. Norma Good will be our guest speaker at the 8:00 AM and 10:45 AM service. Norma is a volunteer coordinator for Lutheran World Relief Projects serving the Lower Susquehanna Synod and has served in this capacity for 25 years. Norma oversees the annual ingathering of quilts made by women in various Lutheran congregations. She also collects (from Lutheran congregations) personal hygiene and baby care kits for women living in poverty. Norma is active as a Heifer Area Volunteer Coordinator with Heifer International. A special offering will be collected during the service.
ALL WOMEN IN THE LCO churches are invited to attend the annual Women of the ELCA LCO Luncheon. (It is a lunch this year as we will have our speaker first and then lunch.) The luncheon will be held at the Brickerville United Lutheran Church on Rt. 322 at 10:00 on Saturday, January 24, 2015. Our speaker for this event will be Ruthie Dunkle from Manheim. The title of her presentation will be, “If Life Gives You Lemons, Go Ahead and Squeeze!” It sounds very inspiring for those times when we are caught off guard by life’s unpleasant events. The offering will be given to the Manow Seminary in the Konde Diocese, Tanzania. We will also be collecting non-perishable foods for the Lititz/Warwick Community Chest. There will be a sign-up sheet under WELCA in the sign-up book in the narthex.
2015 SUPPER CLUB groups are now ready. Please pick up your paper on the table in the narthex.
MEN’S BIBLE BREAKFAST will take place on Sat., Feb. 7th here at St. Paul Lititz at 7 a. m. All men are invited to attend. Also, help is needed with providing food and beverages as well as someone to do the Bible study. Keep in mind that we are hosting, so if you can help, please let Jim Millhouse know what you can help with for this event. Thanks for your prayerful consideration.

MIISION & OUTREACH AWARENESS FAIR: The Mission Team will be holding a fair on January 18 between the services in the Narthex displaying the various mission work of St. Paul. WORSHIP ASSISTANT LISTS will soon be made up for Sundays starting Feb 8th. If you are on a list and wish to be removed, or if you are not on a list and wish to be added, please let the office know. We would like to form a women’s team for the 10:45 a.m services. We have lost a few ushers due to age, health, or various other reasons and we would like to make our usher teams a bit stronger. We can assign you to a team at the worship time of your preference. Greeters, Ushers, Lectors, Lights and Sound, Bus Drivers, nursery helpers, and altar guild are all wonderful, meaningful ways to serve without a huge time commitment. Please consider serving. Also, please sign up for flowers and communion bread.
