SENIOR SHEPHERDS will not be meeting on Monday afternoons in April or May.  We will still meet on Thursday, April 23rd and May 28th at 6:30 p.m. for our monthly evening meetings.

PASTOR GABLE’S CELEBRATION OF MINISTRY: Please mark your calendars for Sunday, May 31 following the 9:30am service in the social hall. This is an opportunity to say thank you to Pastor Gable for his ministry of over 14 years at St Paul on his last day with us before starting his next chapter in life, retirement! We will be collecting donations for his retirement gift. They can be sent to the church office with your donation marked for Pastor’s Retirement. They can also be put in the collection plate, Mutual Ministry mailbox # 15, or sent to Doug Hookway, Mutual Ministry Chair, 26 Round House Drive, Lititz. We are all looking forward to this opportunity for fellowship with Pastor Jim as he closes his official ministry with us.

THE LADIES LUNCH BUNCH will gather on April 15, at 11:30 at Katie’s Grill located at Luther Acres, Lititz.  All ladies are welcome to join us and enjoy some great food and conversation!  We hope to have you join us.  Please sign up in the book located at the kiosk in the Narthex.  Any questions can be directed to Nancy Miller at 405-0000.

BETTE HOFFERTH will be 91 years old on April 15th.  We would like to shower her with cards.  If you would like to send her a card, her address is 300 St. Mark Ave., Apt. 1139, Lititz, PA 17543.

CHURCH COUNCIL IS LOOKING for a chair for the property committee.  The committee meets only on an "as needed basis" to work with Marc Buckwalter on projects as they arise.  When this occurs, the chair would be responsible for contacting & helping to organize members of the committee.  Please contact a member of Church Council or Al Rothermel at 471-2497.

THE SPRING LUNCHEON sponsored by Bridge of Hope Lancaster and Chester Counties is being held on April 25th at the Eden Resort.  The speaker is Laura Breneman, former Ralph Lauren designer and Lancaster county native.  Vendors will be present to showcase and sell their products.  There will be a small silent auction. Doors open at 10:30 am. Tickets are $60 and can be reserved by calling the Bridge of Hope office for tickets at 394-7406 ext. 107. Bridge of Hope has been a mission outreach of St. Paul for a number of years. This year the organization received an Endowment Fund grant.  Proceeds of the event will help fund the mission of "assisting single mothers with dependent children experiencing homelessness to secure permanent housing, stability, and access to resources in their community through relationships with professional staff and mentoring friendships from local congregations.”

FRIENDS OF LUTHER ACRES’ COURTYARD SENSORY OASIS: Our vision includes a path where wheelchairs can wind though a colorful and aromatic assortment of flowers, plants, and herbs all at eye level.  Residents with vision impairments can reach out and touch the many textured leaves and blossoms.  Gifts of all sizes are welcome.  You may place a flower or shrub as a memorial to a loved one.  Volunteering your service is another option.  Please make checks out to Luthercare with “Friends of Luther Acres” on the memo line.  We ask that your gifts be given to the church office, Kathy Trayer, or Evelyn Balmer by April 15, 2015.  Thank you and God bless.

YOUR HELP IS NEEDED for our St. Paul Prayer Vigil to be held on Saturday, April 25 from sunrise (6:14am) to sunset (7:53pm). On that day, prayers will be offered continually in our church sanctuary. You can help by writing down your prayer request on the form you received with your bulletin today and placing it in the Prayer Request Box in the narthex. Another way to help is by signing up on the Prayer Vigil poster in the narthex for a time of prayer. Mark 11:24 says, "Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours." Be a part of our prayer vigil.

MEAL SERVING MINISTRY OPPORTUNITY:  Our congregation is partnering with Zion Leola to help feed our neighbors through serving community dinners in Lancaster.  Help is needed for set-up, serving, and clean up.  These dinners serve approximately 200 people who might otherwise go hungry.  The next dinner will take place at Grace Lutheran on Wednesday, April 29.  Volunteers (ages 15+) are needed for the following responsibilities:

Set Up (2 or 3 people) – 3:00-5:00pm        Serving/Clean up (4 people) – 5:15-6:45pm

If you are interested in volunteering, please sign up on the Kiosk in the Narthex or see Barb Paynter or Joyce Groff for more information.

LCO HUGS & KISSES WALK: Join us on May 2 for the Hugs & Kisses Walk to benefit Annie Taylor.  The Walk will begin in Colebrook beside the Twin Kiss and head up toward Mount Gretna on the rail trail.  Participants can start anytime between 1 - 3 pm and the length & duration is up to you.  You may walk, run, or bike.  Participants are asked to acquire sponsors or make at least a $10 donation the day of the event.  All checks can be made payable to “LCO". Sponsorship forms are available on the kiosk.  For more information, please contact Barb Paynter.

LITITZ PROJECT FLYERS: Volunteers are needed to distribute door hangers to homes in Lititz and areas of Rothsville. The door hangers will explain to homeowners that area churches are willing to send teams to complete free home improvements. If you would like to help distribute these flyers, please meet on TODAY at 1:00pm at Lititz Mennonite Church on Front St.  Questions? Contact Barb Paynter.

BREW CREW will be traveling to Snitz Creek Brewery in Lebanon for dinner on Tuesday April 28th  at 6:30. For those wanting to car pool, we will meet at the church leaving promptly at 5:50. For those going straight to the brewery the address is 7 North 9th Street in Lebanon. They do not accept reservations so there will be a few people going earlier to reserve tables for us.
