SIMPLY GIVING: Let’s all take some time during this morning’s service to reflect on our church family and how we all benefit from being members of the St. Paul community - the weekly inspirational worship services, the Sunday School for adults and children, the Confirmation Class to help our children’s faith grow, the availability of our building and pavilion, the support and caring during difficult times, social times spent with good friends. There are countless benefits to being a member of the St. Paul family and these benefits continue whether or not we are here to make a financial contribution. Vacation time is approaching and your offering is needed during your vacation as well. Go to the church website and register for SIMPLY GIVING so that St. Paul always receives the amount you have committed to give. If you have difficulty registering, Call John Bell at 669-9560.
ENJOY GARDENING? Consider joining the St. Paul Garden Group. This group tends the ten gardens at the front of our church with the purpose of making our church home welcoming and inviting. You may choose to adopt a garden bed or simply serve as a “rover,” helping where needed. Weather permitting, the group meets for an hour either Tuesdays at 6:30pm and/or Saturdays at 11am to water, weed and deadhead. (You may also tend your adopted garden at your own convenience.) All ages can help, it's a great family project. Look for information on the narthex kiosk about the gardens available for “adoption” and for the sign-up sheet to become a “rover." Work begins on Tuesday, May 10 at 6:30pm. Questions? Call Marsha Campbell (717-626-8078).
THE NEXT MEN’S BIBLE STUDY and breakfast will take place on Saturday, May 14th at Brickerville United Lutheran Church, starting at 7AM. All men are invited to attend.
ST. PAUL SENIORS: Sign up for the Senior lunch & learn trip on May 25th. Carpooling from the church at 11:30 a.m. to Cork & Cap then the Medical museum. Questions? Call Kathy 468-7582.
WARWICK RELEASED TIME Program is in need of staff for the 2016/2017 school year. These are paid positions that require criminal checks and fingerprinting. Teachers for 4th & 5th grade as well as bus monitors are needed. This would be about a one hour commitment on either Tuesday or Thursday over lunchtime at one of the four churches in the Lititz area. Classes start at the end of September and finish the end of May. If interested, contact Sue Rohrer, 626-4454.
TOPIC: KEEP ON KEEPING ON: What is that all about? You can find out by attending one of the May W/ELCA circle meetings. Mary Ann Seitz is the presenter for the Ruth Circle meeting on Sunday, May 1 at 9:30 a.m. in the room across from the library as well as the Luther Acres Circle which will meet in the Luther Acres Chapel on Wednesday, May 4 at 1:15 p.m.

Last year we had three work teams - Please look for the sign-up sheets in the narthex and donate some time to help your neighbors.

MUSICIANS! There is a signup sheet in the narthex to sign up to play or sing during services this summer. Any and all are welcome to share their gifts at any traditional service, during prelude, offering, communion, postlude, and/or anything else. ENDOWMENT FUND BORROWING: Borrowing from Endowment Fund clarification – Church council has approved the following addition and clarification to the St Paul Investment Policy and Guidelines for the Endowment Fund. It will follow the paragraph “Investment Management Philosophy”: In the event it becomes necessary to borrow money to meet regular, ongoing church operating expenses, money may be borrowed from the Endowment Fund growth. Borrowing from fund principle is not allowed. The church treasurer would present the proposal for borrowing money from the Endowment growth to the Finance Committee, including reasons for the need to borrow the money. The Finance Committee must approve the loan. When approved, the loan request would then be presented to Church Council for approval. If approved by a majority of Church Council, the Endowment Committee and congregation must be notified and the necessary funds will be borrowed. The church will pay interest on the loan to the Endowment Fund. This interest will be based on the interest rate charged by the bank on the Operating Line of Credit.
