LITITZ PROJECT - It’s time to collectively serve our town again! St. Paul and other Lititz area churches will again be participating in the Lititz Project. We are looking for volunteers to help with yard work and minor home repairs. Last year we had three work teams - Please look for the sign-up sheets in the narthex and donate some time to help your neighbors.
THE SPRING CONGREGATIONAL MEETING will be held April 24, 2016, as an open meeting after both the 8:00 and 10:45 AM services. The congregation will vote to approve new Council Members, the Annual Report, and an amendment to the Endowment and Finance Charters. In addition, members for the 2017 Nominating Committee will be elected.
SIMPLY GIVING: There are countless benefits to being a member of the St. Paul family and these benefits continue whether or not we are here to make a financial contribution. Vacation time is approaching and your offering is needed during your vacation as well. Go to the church website and register for SIMPLY GIVING so that St. Paul always receives the amount you have committed to give. If you have difficulty registering, Call John Bell at 669-9560.
ENJOY GARDENING? Have an hour or so a week to serve your church? Consider joining the St. Paul Garden Group. This group tends the ten gardens at the front of our church throughout the growing season with the purpose of making our church home welcoming and inviting. You may choose to adopt a garden bed or simply serve as a “rover,” helping where needed. Weather permitting, the group meets for an hour either Tuesdays at 6:30pm and/or Saturdays at 11am to water, weed and deadhead. (You may also tend your adopted garden at your own convenience.) All ages can help — it's a great family project. Look for information on the narthex kiosk about the gardens available for “adoption” and for the sign-up sheet to become a “rover." Work begins on Tuesday, May 10 at 6:30pm. Questions? Call Marsha Campbell (717-626-8078)
KEEP ON KEEPING ON: What is that all about? You can find out by attending one of the May W/ELCA circle meetings. Mary Ann Seitz is the presenter for the Ruth Circle meeting on Sunday, May 1 at 9:30 a.m. in the room across from the library as well as the Luther Acres Circle which will meet in the Luther Acres Chapel on Wednesday, May 4 at 1:15 p.m.
FRIENDS OF LUTHER ACRES: In 2016, we will raise funds to add enhancements to the Sensory Oasis Courtyard. We will add seating, tables, pathway lighting, lawn games and theater equipment for outdoor movie nights! Thank you for helping us make this beautiful space more functional and enjoyable! Please make checks out to Luthercare with “Friends of Luther Acres” on the memo line.
CONCERT SERIES: The last event in this year's Concert Series is Voices of the Valley (formerly the Lebanon Valley Alumni Chorale). Their performance will be on Sunday, April 24th at 3:00pm. The concert is titled "the Promise of Living" and features choral works by Copland, Brahms, Orff, and others.
