DID YOU KNOW that our St. Paul Women of the ELCA are celebrating 25 years of service in 2012? Women have played an important role in the life of our church for many, many years. Take a look at the new display in the narthex showcase. From a mixing bowl used years ago in the church kitchen to a Hawaiian-themed Mother Daughter banquet program, this congregation's women have served well.
THE ENDOWMENT COMMITTEE will be accepting requests from the congregation, committee chairs and church council for funds from the annual distribution from the Endowment Fund. This year there is a form available on the church website, www.stpaullititz.net. It is under “membership information-endowment”. Forms are also available in the church office. All requests must be in the church office by October 15th. For additional information, contact Troy Wingenroth, Endowment Chairperson, 627-2111.

A HOLIDAY CRAFT SHOW/BAZAAR meeting will be held in the lounge on Monday, October 8th at 6:30 p.m. to finalize plans.
TELECARE ministry has begun its second year of service to our congregation. Team members use the telephone to keep in touch with the ill, our shut-ins and both new and prospective members. Monthly meetings are held the second Monday at 1:00pm in the church lounge. Interested in serving? Call Marsha Campbell 626-8078 or come to the meeting tomorrow, October 8.

ALL OF THE BLANKETS on display in the sanctuary today were made over the past year by the following ladies: Linda Calhoun, Stephanie Cramer, Joyce Groff, Deb Herr, Mae Keller, LaRue Ketner, Sue Long, Dawne Mellinger, Reba Oberlin, Arline Shannon, Joanne Snavely, Ethel Stephan, Nancy Usner, Marian Weaver, Waltraut Wegner and Nancy Weiss. Thanks to each one for their dedicated service in this worthwhile cause.
THE LADIES LUNCH BUNCH will gather on October 17th at 11:30 at Oregon Dairy located at 2900 Oregon Pike. All ladies are welcome to share in the food, fellowship and fun! The turning leaves and Fall scents should be plentiful! Please sign up in the Small Group’s book in the narthex. Any questions can be directed to Nancy Miller at 405-0000.
SUPPER CLUB: It’s time to sign up for Supper Club for next year. Supper Club is a group couples/singles who meet for dinners and socializing throughout the year. Groups of 4 couples/singles will be formed. Your group will then meet 4 times during the next year, once at each of the couples/singles home for dinner. Each group can decide how to organize the dinners for their group. This is a GREAT way to socialize and get to know others here at St. Paul! Look for the signup sheet in the Sign-Up book in the narthex the beginning of October. Please sign up by Sunday November 18th. If you are in need of babysitting, please indicate when you sign up. Many of our high school girls are interested in babysitting and we can give you a list of youth from our church who you may call for babysitting for supper club. The beginning of December, we will randomly select the groups, and inform each couple/single of your group. Any questions, please contact, Deb or Al Rothermel (627-2107 or email@example.com)
EXCEL IN THE GRACE OF GIVING: Today is the first day in our stewardship program “Excel in the Grace of Giving.” God’s grace and love enables us to be faithful and generous in our giving. We are blessed to be blessings. May the Lord bless each of us with the spirit of the Macedonians who gave beyond their ability because they first gave themselves to the Lord (2 Corinthians 8:3-5). As we give, God fills us with more so we can keep on giving and, in the process, give honor and praise to God. Please join us next week when our theme for the second in our three-week series will be “More Blessed to Give.” Also next week you will be introduced to a giving challenge of increasing your giving by one percent.
