THE LADIES LUNCH BUNCH will gather on December 19th at 11:30 at Lititz Family Cupboard, 12 W Newport Rd. All ladies are welcome to join us. Their buffet is always packed with delicious food and they are located right in town so that if the weather is yucky, we don’t have to go far and we can still get out for food, fellowship and fun! Please sign up in the book located at the kiosk in the Narthex. Any questions can be directed to Nancy Miller at 405-0000.
TELECARE TEAM MINISTRY will meet in the church lounge tomorrow, December 10 at 1:00pm. Would you have the time to minister to others in our church family using your telephone and a few minutes of your time every month? It is a rewarding endeavor that means a great deal to our shut-ins, ill and bereaved members and also to new and potential members. Call Marsha Campbell 626-8078 or join the team at its monthly meeting.
LITITZ MEALS ON WHEELS is in need of volunteer drivers to deliver meals to shut-ins in the Warwick area. LOUIS FUND 1015 is an outreach project to help a man who was greatly impacted by the flood in Ephrata last year. He was not helped by FEMA and had some insurance to cover electrical and heating but not other needs. He, along with 14 of our youth and parents installed the insulation. Yesterday, the drywall work began with a scheduled work day. Don Shaub is in charge of this project, and asks you to keep everyone involved in your prayers for their safety, skills required and success with this project. There is still work to be done, if you are able to help with labor (dry wall finishers, trim, doors & windows, siding) or financial support. We still need an additional $1500-$2500. Donations are to be made out to St. Paul. Please note Louis Fund 1015 on memo. If everyone gives just $1 it would buy a door or window! Contact Don 625-3559.
NEW MEMBERS CLASS AND FIRST COMMUNION CLASS will each be held in the near future. Anyone interested in learning about our church and becoming a member, or any parent who would like their child to receive instruction on Holy Communion please contact Pastor Jim or the church office. Each class will be held on an upcoming Saturday morning.
7TH NORTH LANCASTER CONFERENCE Disaster Response Trip: The trip is scheduled for April 28th - May 4th. At an earlier planning meeting the group made the decision to return to Minot, North Dakota, where there is still about 3-6 years worth of rebuilding left following the devastating flood of 2011. Given the devastation wrought by Hurricane Sandy along the northeast coast , that decision will be revisited at our next planning meeting. If you are interested in hearing more about our trip and how you can be involved please come out to our next planning meeting on Sunday, December 9th, at 2:00 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, New Holland.
